FREE Bitesize Learning Sessions for Practice Managers and other Administrative Staff in collaboration with the Skills Development Network
The Training Hub is working closely with the Midlands Skills Development Network to bring on-line, bite size learning and development suitable for all staff groups but especially for Practice Managers and their teams! See below for upcoming opportunities and how to access. This will be a standard feature in all our future newsletters.
The Midlands Digital Skills Development Network is an innovative learning and development initiative that supports digital professionals at all stages of their career. Their opportunities are open to
- Professionals who work in a digital, data, technology or informatics team/role
- Professionals who use digital, data, technology or informatics to improve health and care outcomes (which is all of us!)
All courses are free unless specifically stated
How to access the platform for the first time:
- Click on the link here to access the site
- Select 'Create a new account' free digital account (don't worry if your role isn't digital - its just the way the sign up works)
- Select Yes to the first question
- For organisation type "Primary Care Network" and select the option that states 2Primary Care Network - Black Country ICS"
- For area of work select "Digital" (don't worry if your role isn't digital - its just the way the sign up works)
- Then complete the form on the screen with your details
How to book onto an event:
- Sign into the SDN website (if you do not sign in, you will not be able to book onto an event).
- Click on “events” and then “course & events” to view the events available in your region.
- To book onto an event, click ‘book a place’ button – note the cancellation policy and associated charge in place.
- Note the event in your diary/calendar.
- You will be notified via email if your place has been successful approximately 3 weeks before the date of the event.
- You will receive joining instructions approximately one week before the date of the event.
In the section below we have identified some events that are coming up that will be of interest to you and included the booking link for ease if access. Make sure you have your employer's permission before booking onto the course.
7th May 2026 - 9:30am to 12:30pm - Effective Delegation
- understand how to delegate effectively
- identify which tasks or issues are appropriate for delegation
- understand how to monitor, manage and measure task development
- increase in motivation in the workplace through effective delegation and effectively match people to tasks
- manage the delegation of tasks across a team in a larger project ensuring equal allocation of tasks
- understand different management techniques for administrating tasks in large and small assignments
- manage the delegation through to completion
